Community Coalition Partnership (CCP)

The Community Coalition Partnership is a program that partners with a local coalition to address substance abuse issues that affect youth and young adults such as underage drinking, marijuana, and prescription drug abuse. ARCADA's CCP is partnered with the Taylor Alliance for Prevention (TAP).
TAP was formed to create healthier and safer communities. The coalition serves the population of Taylor County—this includes the communities of Abilene, Buffalo Gap, Lawn, Tuscola, Merkel, and Trent.

The coalition is designed to reduce youth access to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs by:

  • Increasing community awareness of the legal and health consequences of substance abuse;
  • Mobilizing Taylor County citizens to make institutional and policy changes;
  • Working with law enforcement and local businesses to improve enforcement of existing laws; and
  • Improving the overall health of the community.

The coalition needs the help of all community members in order to effectively address issues related to substance abuse. Can you find yourself in this list? If so, please contact the coalition to find out how you can help.
